Mr. Thorn was the former Chief Financial Officer of Strategic Risk Associates (SRA) and now serves as an advisor and board member. For more than 25 years, Mr. Thorn was a senior banking executive with Chemical Bank (now Chase Manhattan Bank) and First Fidelity Bank (now Wells Fargo Bank). Most of his career was focused on improving internal banking operations and acquiring troubled banks. He developed and implemented new and creative business solutions, integrated acquisitions, and divested underperforming or non-strategic business units. He subsequently applied these skills to building Hobart West, a business he founded in 1996. It grew it into a $160 million legal services and commercial staffing company with more 600 employees. He skillfully guided the firm’s organic growth through a series of 15 acquisitions and mergers. In 2004, he formed LEAF Financial Advisors (formerly Wyatt Partners) and has worked continuously with private equity firms and business owners. In addition to his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science from Dickinson College, he possesses a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from The Fletcher School at Tufts University and lends his professional expertise to a variety of corporate, professional, and community boards.
